The Garden Has Enough Sun- april 2026

Happy first Monday in April, beautiful humans!

Goooood morning, amazing people! We're already a couple of days into April- how we doing, yall?! I hope this email has found you with some ease in your body and mind, wherever you are! One of many things I have noticed since returning back to the country, is that life moves very, very fast here. Never before have I found myself in such a rushed state than I've been in over the last month or so. And if that is also you- I hope you take a breath. And I hope someone (HI, hello, it's me!!!) reminds you that you're doing freaking incredible!! I hope we all slow the heck down and give ourselves just a few minutes to sit with something, anything, fully.

I'm slowly finding routine and solid ground beneath my feet, both in my new job and in my life, in general. Let's be real, my garden is started and I have little baby greens popping through, and beach yoga returns this month sooOooo things feel pretty darn good in my life right now My intention with these newsletters is never for them to be just about me and random bits of my life, but to share with you all from a place of "realness"- real struggle, real excitement, all of that. But, the best way to put it is I feel as though the light has finally returned. I was struggling to catch my breath there for a moment- yall ever been there? While in it, I knew it would pass, but sheesh. This is a much better, sustainable headspace to be in. And I'm grateful for this space and community that can see me just as me- messy, weird, imperfect, trying my best, tired, and just human. So thank you for that!!!

Okay, so back to the light...Have you all seen the Instagram reel going around showing rivers of yellow water, cars entirely covered in pollen and swollen eyes all while playing to Yellow by Coldplay in the background? That's literally Wilmington, NC. Everything is popping! Azaleas are lining streets, green branches have returned to bushes and gorgeous, colorful flowers are everywhere. And it's not just nature. Wilmington feels so alive again. There's people out and about, stores & beaches are packed and people are just simply finding the joy again sharing in community in outdoor spaces! It seriously is such an amazing time of year here. I remember last year while away, I wrote about how much I was missing springtime in Wilmington. That has deeply encouraged and fueled me to be. here. now with it & in it.I've finally had some time and space to journal a bit deeper and found myself really thinking about the people in my life- the ones I know really well and also people I meet along the way, even just briefly.

This newsletter is about lifting others up.

Celebrating others, complimenting others- seeing and feeling their joy.

Wanting something really good to happen to them.

Congratulating someone and meaning it genuinely.

Our capacity to express and want goodness in others is correlated with our ability to see and believe that in our own selves. Spring doesn't ask the tulips to bloom smaller so the daffodils can have more light. Every flower opens fully, without apology, without shrinking, and you know what? The garden is more beautiful because of it.

This month, I want to offer a really powerful mindset shift of abundance consciousness. This belief that someone else's success, growth, or radiance doesn't dim yours. That joy is not a finite resource. That the mat, reformer, car, office space next to yours holds someone on their own sacred path, and their flourishing has nothing to do with your own. Spring makes this so easy to see. Everything is blooming at once. But somehow the world doesn't feel crowded, it simply feels more alive.

Maybe this month when we start to notice comparison creeping in (in a workout, on social media, in life, literally anywhereee), I hope we try to meet it with curiosity instead of judgment. There's room for joy and peace in all of us. You winning doesn't keep me from also winning- no competition need.

And that's all I've got, beautiful people. If you've made it this far, gosh dang it means a lot. Let me know what you're celebrating in this blooming season of your life!! Let's make it an abundant, generous and loving month, friends!

Also, come do some beach yoga this season with me- I'd be HONORED!
